Interested in Winning a $100 Ruth’s Chris Gift Card?
I’ve got a win-win proposition for you!
I’ve been to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse one time my whole life, and the steak I ordered was nothing short of amazing! And I’ve had my fair share of steaks. 😉 So we’ve purchased a $100 gift card to Ruth’s Chris to give away for a great cause!
But here’s the deal- there are a couple of quick requirements:
- You have to like really good food.
- You have to be willing to give $10 to a really good cause.
My husband is going to Peru to follow a James 1:27 calling: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” He will be serving once-abandoned special needs children and helping lead financial classes, and we’re raising $2,300 to send him. To donate $10 or more and be entered to win the gift card, click here. You’ll earn one raffle ticket per $10 donated.
Here’s more about what you’ll be donating towards:
Forgotten Children. There are thousands in Peru- those that were discarded in the jungles at birth because of deformities or other obvious special needs. They were tossed out, left to die alone. This wasn’t their fate, though, thanks to many local missionaries that rescued them. They’ve taken them in and cared for them, doing everything possible to ensure their survival and well-being. They’ve even started a school for them in Pucallpa, Peru where my husband will be serving. Silas and his team will have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ to these once-discarded children, helping meet their basic needs and show them that they are valuable and important.
Financial Classes. The adults in Peru are in trouble financially. Their government, in hopes of boosting the economy, has begun to dole out high interest credit cards to everyone! The problem is that the people haven’t been taught the basics of debt and inflated interest rates, and no one is governing their consumption.
The credit card fiasco is awful, but there’s also a general lack of knowledge regarding finances, even among western missionaries and local pastors. Financial planners in Peru are close to non-existent, so basic financial planning for the future has been left largely undone. Silas and his team will be leading classes to help the church leaders and Peruvian people make more informed financial decisions.
With our help, many Peruvian church leaders and local Peruvians can be saved from future financial crisis. Together we can help local missionaries carry the responsibility of caring for many special needs children.
Silas needs to raise $2,300. The cost will be covered if:
230 people give $10,
or 115 people give $20,
or 46 people give $50,
or 23 people give $100,
AND you may just win a $100 gift card as an added bonus!
Donation takes 5 minutes or less. We would be so grateful for any investment you feel good about making! Click here to donate and be entered to win a $100 gift card. One raffle ticket per $10 donated.
Thank you in advance for supporting Silas and the people of Peru!
